The differences vs. the 500C/M are the TTL-OTF flash system, a winder connection and the gliding mirror system. I don’t need any of these features, personally. I only shoot a 503CW because it’s the youngest model. You can purchase a 500C/M if it’s in good condition and get beautiful results. You won’t see a difference.
